Regulation of the Internet and Online Music in China

Mr. Chang will discuss the labyrinth of Chinese regulations and bureaucracies governing the Internet in China, and recent developments in online music resulting from the US victory over China at the WTO. He will contrast law vs. practice in online content regulation, as well as examine the so-called Variable Interest Entity that allows foreign investment in restricted sectors and discuss the experience of Chinese Internet startups.
